Treated wastewater may still contain microorganisms, residual organics and compounds affecting colour or odour. Different reuse destinations have different quality needs, and storage can change the water after the polishing stage.
How Ozone Helps
Ozone oxidation can transform susceptible trace or residual compounds and support disinfection. It is not desalination, and oxidation products may require further removal before the water is suitable for its intended reuse.

Technical Treatment Approach
Filtered or otherwise conditioned effluent enters a mixed contact stage supplied by a suitable feed-gas and ozone-generation package. Injection efficiency, residual ozone and process sampling are assessed together. Off-gas treatment is included in the gas-handling design.

System Integration
Biological treatment and filtration often precede ozonation. Biological activated carbon, membranes or UV may follow, depending on contaminants and reuse goals; storage and distribution protection require a separate assessment.
Engineering & Automation
A reuse-plant PLC can use water-quality permissives to control routing and ozone operation. HMI trends, sensor alarms, off-spec diversion interlocks and remote status options can help prevent unsuitable water reaching the receiving process.

Important Design Considerations
Actual feed quality, flow, contaminant load and reuse objectives determine dose, contact time, transfer efficiency and treatment performance. Assess by-products, downstream stability and any remaining salinity or nutrient constraints through representative testing.
