The Treatment Challenge

Organic residues and changing production schedules can increase microbial loading and oxidant demand. A water-treatment stage must also account for product taste, contact surfaces, packaging and the possibility of recontamination downstream.

How Ozone Helps

Ozone disinfection may reduce susceptible microorganisms in process water under validated conditions. Its oxidising action must be balanced against product sensitivity; it is not a substitute for cleaning, hygienic design or a complete sanitation programme.

System Integration
