The Treatment Challenge

Recirculation can concentrate dissolved constituents while particles, microbial growth and biofilm affect surfaces. Scale, corrosion and biological activity are different problems; controlling one does not establish control of the others.

How Ozone Helps

Ozone may support oxidation and microbial management in suitable process-water circuits. It is not a universal substitute for scale control, corrosion management, cleaning or a site-specific cooling-water hygiene programme.

Prepared feed gas supplies an ozone generator connected to a sidestream contact or injection arrangement. Circuit flow, mixing and residual measurements inform control. Off-gas and possible release at open equipment must be assessed and managed.

Important Design Considerations

Base dose, contact time, transfer efficiency and treatment performance on actual water chemistry, flow, contaminant load and operating goals. Evaluate aerosol exposure, materials, existing treatment chemicals and verification of the broader hygiene programme.
